Preparing for the Christmas Season, setting up and exhibiting…

Thank you Oxfordshire Artweeks for selecting one of my rings to showcase for the Christmas Season!

I have been busy setting up for the OCG Winter Exhibition, which started on Saturday 15th at the Oxfordshire Museum in Woodstock.

I also have a new selection of jewellery at West OX Arts, in Bampton for their Winter Exhibition:

You can also find a selection of my work in Waterperry Art Gallery (near Oxford) and in White Chalk Gallery in Devizes (Wiltshire).

Inspiration and work in progress:

A trip to the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, has helped me develop my inspiration for projects that are more art-based:

I love the use of unusual materials like feathers or shells and the large scale of these adornments, and the fact that they had more purpose than just decorative.

Being also around Halloween/Samhain and me feeling a strong connection with witches since I was a child, I wanted to create and celebrate witches in my own way. The picture on the left is only a draft, evolving almost every day… hopeful I will reach something I am satisfied with.

On the right, the photos are part of an ephemeral project which I want to continue over time to make it evolve, with recoding the evolution. I am not yet certain where it will lead!
